A group of protestors have pitched tents on Clapham Common with home-made anti-vaccination and "lovedown not lockdown" signs displayed around the campsite.

Clapham Nub News visited the campers this afternoon (June 28) as the rain began to pour, and saw a range of makeshift posters propped against tents.

One said Covid vaccines have killed more than 1300 people. Written on another was: "conformity is doing what everyone else is doing regardless of what is right".

Apart from two children playing a game under tarpaulin and a handful of people moving between tents, the site was quiet.

According to the Instagram account shared on several signs, Lovedown_ftp, campsite organisers were at the Royal Courts of Justice, having been informed of possession proceedings against the group issued by Lambeth Council.

A member of the Lovedown not Lockdown group took to social media to share the Court's initial ruling.

They said: "Some great news and finally a victory for Lovedown.

"The judge has given us until the 27th August to come up with a convincing argument as to why we should stay and more detail on exactly why we are here.

"This is huge. Just imagine what we can achieve within that time.

"Now we need the teachers, doctors and lawyers etc to come and join us. We are going to change the course of history and we need to come together.

"Lovedown not lockdown."
