Clapham Caffeine Chronicles: Lane Eight at 6 The Pavement

New café Lane Eight opens opposite Clapham Common

Clapham can officially head to Lane Eight for its daily caffeination, with doors to the new coffee shop open at 6 The Pavement.

Britain may be a nation of tea drinkers but its capital, and our slice of it in Clapham, is in a seriously committed relationship with coffee.

Lane Eight is the latest addition to a long list of vendors who can feed our caffeine addiction, be it in the form of a frothy cappuccino, oat milk flat white or shot of single espresso. Located opposite Clapham Common station (next door to our still very scaffolded Waitrose), it's the perfect pre-commute place to grab a latte and pastry to go.

Anyone familiar with the original Lane Eight coffee shop in Dulwich will find the same minimalist décor in their new Clapham location – think pale greys, low hanging lights and plenty of wood.

Nub News has a hunch its glowing customer reviews and 5 star rating will follow them to the Clapham site too – and in a good sign for summer lovers, there is not a christmas decoration in sight.
