Clapham: Three men arrested in Lambeth murder case

Three men have been arrested after the body of a man was found in Lambeth last week.

Paramedics with the London Ambulance Service called police to New Park Road around 6.55am on Monday (July 12) where a 44-year-old man was found dead.

Police said a special post-mortem examination revealed the man, who is yet to be formally identified, had died from "multiple injuries".

His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist police.

A murder investigation was announced by the Met on July 15, since which three men have been arrested.

A 48-year old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday, July 14 and taken into custody at a south London police station. He has since been released with no further action.

Two days after his arrest, a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder (on Friday, July 16). He was taken into custody at a south London police station and has since been bailed to return at a date in mid-August.

The third man arrested on suspicion of murder was a 34-year-old man. He was taken into custody at a south London police station on Saturday, July 17 and has since been bailed to return at a date in mid-August.
