Clapham Chamber Concerts is returning to St. Paul's Church this evening with its first live performance since lockdown measures prevented events from taking place.

Presented by clarinettist Jonathan Parkin and his duo partner pianist, Sebastian Stanley, tonight's programme of works include Fantasy on themes from Verdi's La Traviata, Arvo Pärt's Spiegel im Spiegel and the light-hearted, jazz-influenced Sonatina from Joseph Horovitz.

After months without live music performances, the work that will perhaps be especially meaningful for both Jonathan and Stanley to play, and their audience to hear, will be Burgmüller's stunning but seldom performed Duo for clarinet and piano.
