Nub News is a growing network of online news sites which deliver local community news to towns around the UK. In our new column, Around the Nub News Network, we highlight news stories our colleagues have recently reported which resonate beyond their local readerships.

Olympic gold medallist Tom Daley will be cycling through Bridport on Wednesday as part of an epic endurance challenge for Comic Relief.

To raise money for this year's Red Nose Day, diving star Tom will be rowing, cycling, running and swimming his way from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford to his hometown of Plymouth

Over four days, from today (Monday), Tom Daley's Hell of a Homecoming, will see him passthrough significant places and locations from his life.

And he will be passing through Bridport this Wednesday, coming in on the A35 from Dorchester and through the town centre along East and West Street before re-joining the A35 at Symondsbury and cycling towards Chideock. It is thought he will come through Bridport between 1pm and 2pm, but you can track where he is on the interactive map here.
