First of the Autumn wine

A popular wine shop in Clapham is running a competition for one person to win two bottles of orange wine.

D Vine Cellars on Voltaire Road is a coffee shop, wine bar and wine shop specialising in sustainably sourced wines.

While rosé may well be the wine of summer, D Vine Cellars is on a mission to make orange the wine of Autumn with its Orange October competition.

Orange wine is made using white grapes, which are fermented the same way as red wine, with their skins left on. Next, the grapes are crushed, with the flesh kept in contact with the skin before finally being pressed off. How long the grape is in contact with the skin is what impacts the colour of the wine – the longer there is contact, the richer the colour.

If wine the colour of mangoes still has you feeling sceptical, D Vine Cellar's competition is the perfect way to test the waters.

To win two bottles all you have to do is go to follow D Vine Cellars on Instagram then head to this post to like it and tag a friend. Each tag equals an entry so enter multiple times with more tags!

The competition will run throughout the rest of October so keep your eyes peeled on November 1 for when the winner's announced.

Meanwhile if want to learn more about Skin Contact or Orange Wines, D Vine Cellars Orange October Bar Hijack is running until November 23.
