Update at 10:30am: Roads around Clapham Junction have now been re-opened.

Roads around Clapham Junction station are blocked after crash involving a cyclist and a bus on Falcon Road.

Falcon Road by Clapham Junction train station has been largely cordoned off by police this morning (Tuesday, November 9).

Police and ambulance services were called to Falcon Road shortly after 8:00am following a collision at the busy junction between a cyclist and a bus.

The cyclist, a male in his 50s, has been taken to a west London hospital; his injuries are not life threatening.

Lavender Hill is blocked and as Clapham Nub News reported in our daily Breakfast Briefing, there is congestion to Latchmere Road, York Road and the A3 between Clapham Common and Wandsworth.

A detour in operation is affecting 13 bus routes.

One eye-witness shared pictures from the scene on social media that show a number of police cars and an ambulance in attendance.

They reported: "Someone has been hit by a bus."
