It's been a while since Michael McIntyre took to the stage at Clapham Grand but next week there is a rare opportunity for local fans to meet McIntyre in nearby Kingston.
The British comedian will be visiting the Kingston branch of Waterstone's to sign copies of his new autobiography, 'A Funny Life' on Thursday, November 4.
McIntyre, who was named the highest-earning stand-up in the world in 2012, penned the book as a follow-up to his 2010 memoir 'Life and Laughing: My Story.'
In the new book he recounts his path to becoming the nation's most popular comedian and the missteps, mishaps and misadventures that he experienced along the way.
'A Funny Life', described as "typically hilarious", shares the highs and the lows of his rise to the top including both his disastrous panel show appearances and the hit TV shows that brought him fame and fortune.
For £20 and a 30-minute train journey from Clapham Junction to Kingston, McIntyre fans can secure their chance to meet the man himself. The ticket cost includes a copy of his new book and secures a place in the signing queue.
