Clapham South Tesco to introduce InPost parcel lockers

What unfettered fun it is to return online shopping said no one ever.

When the shiny new thing you waited with baited breath to receive turns out to be more dull or small or in hindsight completely unaffordable, there's no time to be disappointed. The clock to create a return, print its label, sellotape the parcel and with it quadruple the size you received, lug said parcel to a suddenly very distant "round the corner" newsagent is well and truly ticking.

Fortunately for residents in Clapham South, this admin-intensive activity is set to get a whole lot easier.

Partnering with Polish parcel delivery service InPost, Tesco is introducing free all-hours parcel lockers at over 500 of its supermarkets across the country – including our all-important one on Clapham Common South Side.

While details about where within the superstore InPost lockers will be installed have not yet been confirmed, they will no doubt be a convenient addition to the Clapham South Tesco for residents already used to popping in on their way home from work.

Jason Tavaria, CEO of InPost said, "We're delighted to partner with Tesco to bring our parcel lockers to even more shoppers across the UK.

"It makes perfect sense for shoppers to combine two trips into one, skip the queue and send, collect or return parcels during their weekly shop.

"We know this Christmas season could be a little more stressful than expected, so we want to do our part by offering maximum convenience, particularly with our Instant Returns service.

"We also know that by reducing the number of deliveries needed, the new lockers will reduce local traffic, helping to create more sustainable, greener communities."
