Four children flee fire on Kyrle Road in Clapham
Two adults and four children escaped from a house on fire in Clapham last night (Sunday, February 6).
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to the mid-terraced house on Kyrle Road shortly after 7:30pm.
The family of six escaped the building without injury before the Brigade arrived.
By 9:49pm firefighters from Clapham, Battersea, Wandsworth and Tooting fire stations had the fire under control.
The London Fire Brigades said the fire damaged most of the loft conversion of the house.
Investigators believe the blaze was caused by combustible items being too close to a heat source.
