More than 650 people met potential employers and discovered local job opportunities at an employment event in Wandsworth last week.

Employ Wandsworth, the largest jobs and skills fair in the borough, hosts more than 50 local companies including Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, Penguin Random House, Hyatt Hotels and Cineworld.

Free employability workshops and information on training and development were delivered by digital learning providers, including Google Digital Garage.

Cllr Kemi Akinola, cabinet member for the voluntary sector, business and culture, said: "Employ Wandsworth is a fantastic event that connects people with work and training. We want to ensure that Wandsworth residents get local jobs, so if you couldn't make it get in touch with Work Match now to see how they can help you."

Employ Wandsworth 2023 is organised by Wandsworth Council's Work Match team, a free jobs service that celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

If you missed Employ Wandsworth, you can still get help from Work Match. Contact the team directly on 020 8871 5191 or email [email protected]
