Royal Trinity Hospice shops return to Clapham with brand new charity shop

The Royal Trinity Hospice charity shops are notable across London for their promotion of sustainable fashion, and as 'in-the-know' places to find rare designer and vintage pieces.

Now Royal Trinity Hospice has returned to Clapham opening a new charity shop at a brand new location just minutes away from the doors of the hospice it will be raising funds for.

The new shop will stock womenswear, menswear, footwear and accessories and will play host to an eclectic mix of one-off designer and high-end pieces, great quality high street and unique vintage finds. The opening marks an exciting return to the area for Royal Trinity Hospice, two years after the hospice's previous Clapham High Street shop closed following the end of its lease.

The hospice's Retail team hopes the shop will become a destination for the ever-growing number of fans of preloved fashion as well as those familiar with the hospice making a difference to families across London.

The new shop, at 120 Clapham High Street will become the 21st Royal Trinity Hospice charity shop across central and south-west London. The hospice's shops play a vital role in ensuring it can supplement the limited funds received by the NHS and go on providing free specialist palliative care. The charity has been integral to the Clapham community since 1891, and is now the sole provider of specialist palliative care to people in an area spanning seven London boroughs.

Manager of the new shop Janet Greenidge and her team welcomed the first customers through the doors on Monday 7 November. She is looking forward to reconnecting with customers in Clapham, after running the previous shop on Clapham High Street for two years.

"Our new shop has some exceptional preloved finds as well as fabulous new stock donated by our brand partners including stunning Anthropologie dresses, which will make sure your autumn/winter wardrobe is far from dull! As well as fashion, we have eye catching coffee table books and other beautiful homeware, perfect for Christmas gifts, not forgetting our famous charity Christmas cards which have fantastic sustainability credentials.

"I'm looking forward to people popping in to say hello, making us a regular stop when they are out and about in Clapham."

The team running the new shop is also on the lookout for good quality stock donations and volunteers. People with good quality preloved fashion and accessories can donate in-store at any time during opening hours or by arranging collections from home and by post via the hospice's website.
