Thursday: No One

No One is a high-octane thriller about love, friendship and betrayal, inspired by the themes of H.G Wells' The Invisible Man. With a live DJ and action-packed fight scenes, this slick modern story reflects the hectic, ultra-visible and technology-centric life we lead today.

Friday: Scott Covert, C'est la vie @ Studio Voltaire

A major exhibition of works by Scott Covert (b. New Jersey, 1954), the artist's first solo presentation outside of the US.

For nearly forty years, Covert's practice has largely evolved around his long-standing series of Monument paintings: carefully rendered rubbings of gravestones in chalk, oil stick or charcoal on canvas and paper. Always producing the rubbings on site, Covert has ceaselessly undertaken hundreds of journeys across the US and internationally to seek out the gravestones of friends, public figures, artists, poets, film stars and underground performers.

Friday: Games, Chorales & Fantasie

Clapham Chamber Concerts continues its 2022-23 season on Friday 27th January, with an atmospheric programme of music for piano solo and piano duo.

Centred around the Hungarian composer György Kurtág, Petr Limonov and Robin Green present arrangements of Bach Chorales by Kurtág alongside works by Mozart, Ravel and the British composer Thomas Adès, as well as a selection of compositions from Kurtág's own playful pieces, Játékok (Games). The evening concludes with a performance of one of the most famous piano works for four hands, Franz Schubert's Fantasie in F minor.

Saturday: DJ Brendan Farrell's Modnsoul Night

Brendan regularly DJ's at Northern Soul nights around London but his very own baby is his popular ModnSoul night that has been running for over 7 years.

ModnSoul as the name suggests is soul music with some modernist grooves. Brendan will get you shuffling your feet and shaking your hips to Northern Soul, Motown, Soul and Mod classics as well as a few modern soulful bangers too.

Sunday: Songs for Scattered Times

Songs For Scattered Times is a responsive and entertaining cabaret fusing the worlds of musical theatre and climate activism. This event celebrates the ability of musical theatre to address moments of political and personal change.

Sunday: Live Music - The Blues Jam

Deep rooted blues in the heart of Clapham. The Jam is kicked off by 4 piece band with harmonica great Errol Linton and exceptional guitarist Dave Wilson, both who've been around in the music scene for years. Not to be missed!
