Good morning, and welcome to your weekly round up of What's on in Clapham.

Friday, February 17: V-Day 2023 - Raise The Vibration

Throughout history, activists and artists have used V-Day to shed light on the connection between gender based violence and political instability, armed conflict, xenophobia, unsafe working conditions, transphobia, homophobia, and racism.

RAISE THE VIBRATION will replace The Bread and Roses Theatre's annual Vagina Monologues event, through a series of monologues and spoken word peices, so we can foreground new voices in the conversation around ending violence against women (cisgender and transgender), those who hold fluid identities, nonbinary people, girls and the planet.

Saturday, February 18: Pure Liberty and the Soulmen

Free entry to live music at The Bread & Roses pub in Clapham.

Tuesday, February 7 - Saturday, February 18: Live To Tell - (A Proposal For) The Madonna Jukebox Musical

Brian has a dream: pitching himself to the Queen of Pop as the author of her glitzy new musical. But when the undetectable reality of HIV rises up, things change quicker than a Ray of Light.

For nearly forty years, Madonna's remained on top by constantly reinventing herself. After years living on HIV meds, Brian wants to do the same. But he can't live to tell a tale of jukebox triumph until he confronts the stigma and side effects of long-term survival.

LIVE TO TELL mashes up queer history and pop artifice into some highly personal Confessions on a Dancefloor. Sure, medicine can suppress a virus, but how do we keep on living? Just like a prayer, this show will take you there.

Sunday, February 19: Clown Soup Cabaret

Twisty Turny Theatre is back with another Clown Soup Cabaret. Prepare yourself for an outrageous evening of comedy, drag, music, and clowning from a variety of ridiculous performers. This one-night-only event is an opportunity to support both established and in development work.
