Wandsworth is hosting another of its "Mega Skip Days" in October for local residents to bin their bulky waste for free.

Between 9am and midday on Saturday October 16, residents can bring anything from sofas to mattresses and other large furniture items to one of five locations in the borough where mega skips will be placed.

Recent data released by the Government show that Wandsworth has had the second-lowest number of recorded fly-tips in inner London.

The data recorded shows the total number of fly-tips recorded from the 2012/13 to 2019/20 datasets. Wandsworth had 4,745 recorded fly-tips - over the same period, Merton had 13,047 fly-tip incidents, Hammersmith & Fulham 13,332, Westminster 15,283, Kensington & Chelsea 6,490 and Lambeth 6,638.
