Volunteers needed for London to Brighton Bike Ride on Clapham Common

Volunteers needed to support the BHF at London to Brighton Bike Ride 2023  

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is urgently calling for volunteers to support their iconic London to Brighton Bike Ride.  

The charity is looking for people to help at the start line on Clapham Common on Sunday 18th June.  

Volunteers have always been a vital part of the BHF London to Brighton Bike Ride. They help with a variety of roles on the day to ensure the smooth operation of this famous cycling event. Roles at the start line in Clapham Common include assisting the 10,000 participants before they head out on the fantastic 54-mile cycle from city to coast. All riders and volunteers assist in powering BHF research and help those with heart and circulatory diseases – the world's biggest killer.  

Linda Fenn, Head of Volunteering at the British Heart Foundation, said: "We're looking for amazing volunteers to join Team BHF and help make this year's London to Brighton Bike ride unforgettable for our BHF cyclists.  

"The London to Brighton Bike Ride is our oldest and most iconic fundraising event which we've been running for over 40 years. It is an incredible day filled with inspiring people and is a truly rewarding experience. But, without our volunteers, the event wouldn't be half as special for the people taking part.  

"Our supporters are essential in helping us raise funds and advance our science into new cures and treatments for heart and circulatory conditions. Without them, the important work that we do just wouldn't be possible. By offering up your time to support, you're enabling the BHF to fund ground-breaking research.
