We are delighted to announce that Candida Powell-Williams will be the first artist to present in our event series 'The Artist'sPalate' on Friday 9th June from 6-9.30pm.

We can't wait to hear from Candida, who makes sculptural installations and performances that explore how the artificial, human-made environment affects our psyche through a layered use of narrative. Her work is informed by human propensity to animate the inanimate examining the connection between objects, symbols, myth and history, gestures and systems of belief through a female lens. Get ready to be hugely inspired by Candida's extraordinary practice!

There will also be a Keralan Supper from Platform Cafe with guest chef Vizzy Sagar, who will be showcasing a delicious 2-course menu for us on 9th June.

We are so happy to be collaborating with our neighbours, The Platform Cafe, who will be creating a delicious menu for 'The Artist's Palate' 9th June.

They are another amazing community kitchen and event space, partnered with Loughborough Farm community garden. The cafe serves healthy, nutritious vegetarian lunches and offers a welcome space for connection. They provide opportunities for locals through their free workshops and youth volunteer placements, supporting young people experiencing barriers to employment. They also run a popular community guest chef programme, celebrating the diverse food cultures of Loughborough Junction.

Vizzy Sagar is a Keralan chef with a wealth of experience in the London street food and festival scene including farmers markets, Womad and Glastonbury. The Platform Cafe and Vizzy regularly come together to deliver vegetarian supper clubs, celebrating the vibrant and colourful cuisine of Kerala.
