Joffrey! The Pantomime
written by Sam Went - directed by Joe Flatt18 - 22 January at 7:30pm (+ Saturday Matinee at 3pm)
Written by King Joffrey himself (after recently executing his ghostwriter Sam Went) Joffrey! The Story of Joffrey: A Pantomime tells the true story of Joffrey's fight to secure his rightful place on the iron throne, untainted by a certain season 8. Marvel as the handsome Prince Joffrey fights to secure his rightful throne. Aww as he woos the beautiful Lady Sansa Stark. Boo and hiss at the dastardly villainous schemes of Ned Stark. Shout "He's behind you!" as Ned's useless henchman, Littlefinger, sneaks up on our fair heroes. Cry with King Robert as his nipples freeze in Winterfell. Be seduced by Queen Cersei despite those who say she is just a hairy man in a dress. Joffrey! is an original parody of A Song of Ice and Fire, re-imagining the story as a traditional pantomime as told by King Joffrey Baratheon. After sold-out runs in the Norwich area in 2019, Joffrey! is headed to the Bread and Roses to welcome audiences back to theatres in style and with (hopefully) minimal executions.
