Craft beer shop brews plan to open new branch in Clapham

New craft beer shop and bar hopes to open in Clapham
Exciting plans are brewing for a local craft beer shop to open in Clapham.
No Boring Beer is the independent craft beer shop that hopes to open at 22 Lavender Hill, the premises that until recently were home to the Children of the Mekong charity shop.
A small business created by Nikita and Roman, two beer enthusiasts who were "simply tired of boring beer", south London already boasts two No Boring Beer shops – one next to Deptford station and a second on Tower Bridge Road. The pair has now applied to Wandsworth Council for a premises license to open a branch of No Boring Beer on Lavender Hill.
If the vast selection of beers on offer at existing No Boring Beer shops is anything to go by, the local range of barley beverages available to buy in Clapham will become a good deal more exciting should the license be granted.
With over 200 beers from local breweries, including gluten free, low alcohol and vegan styles, plus six rotating draught lines in the Deptford branch and four in Southwark, Nikita and Roman are proud to stock products from independent microbreweries only – in their own words, "no international chains or rubbish beer".
In addition to bottles, cans and refillable growlers galore, the business partners hope to secure a license for consumption on the premises. Though the space being small would have limited indoor capacity, 50% of the pavement along this upper end of Lavender Hill belongs to the stretch of shops and could afford No Boring Beer a small amount of outside seating without any need for a separate pavement license application.
Until the premises license is secured No Boring Beer is a while away from joining the club of new local businesses opening on Lavender Hill. But with its focus on small, independent and local breweries – only UK breweries and low CO2 footprints for this environment-conscious business – we hope Clapham gets to see – and drink – No Boring Beer in the not too distant future.
