Friendly pet parrot missing from home in Clapham North

A green parrot missing from his home in Clapham North has been described as "very friendly" by his concerned owner.

Ahmad Ahmoodi has appealed to neighbours and the wider community to help find his 3-year-old green parrot Rango who went missing from home in Clapham North at 5pm on Tuesday (August 17).

Based on images alone Rango is not immediately discernible from the parakeets prolific across parks and gardens of south west London. But as a tame, well-natured parrot, he recognises words and can be summoned if spotted in the local area.

Ahmad said Rango "is very friendly and would come if you ask him to".

The owner added: "His safe word is 'it's okay' and if you ask him to 'come here' he responds to that."

Neighbours and those in the Clapham North/Brixton area are asked to please keep an eye out for Rango and contact Ahmad directly on 07481086561 with any information.
