The Rectory pub to permanently close

The Rectory in Clapham Old Town will permanently close next month, making way for what is speculated will be a new butchers and eatery called The Pig's Head.

Tucked away in Clapham Old Town, The Rectory has been a firm favourite among locals since it opened four years ago.

With its stone baked pizza oven, 'secret' burger menu and live music on Fridays, the gastro pub on Rectory Grove has offered something for everyone.

Thanks to its prime location a stone's throw away from Clapham Common, the site has attracted the attention of new business owners. According to reports from Best of Clapham, new investors will assume ownership of the site as early as August.

Clapham Nub News will keep you posted on who its new owners are and what exactly will replace The Rectory.
