A street in Brixton was closed by police last night (Thursday, February 4) after multiple gunshots were allegedly fired.

Moorland Road by the junction with Coldharbour Lane was cordoned off until 3:00am today (February 4) while forensic officers examined the scene.

As reported by Brixton Buzz, police at the scene said six bullets had been fired from a car outside the Barrier Block (Southwyck House) at around 9:30pm.

Witnesses described a black car speeding away from the scene westwards along Coldharbour Lane.

No casualties have been reported.
