Londoners face severe disruption to bus services today (March 28) as drivers employed by Arriva begin a 48-hour strike.
The strike comes hot on the heels of tube and rail strikes in the capital after bus drivers rejected a pay offer.
Unite said Arriva initially offered workers a "pathetic" pay deal of 1.5%, before making an improved offer which drivers have now rejected.
Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: "Arriva's bus drivers are fed up with being taken for granted.
"This is a profitable business that can well afford fair wages, it needs to get real on the pay offer to our members.
"Our members at Arriva will have the union's total support until the company makes a fair offer and this dispute is resolved."
Bus Strikes Details
Services will be affected all day Monday March 28, Tuesday March 29 and into the early hours of Wednesday March 30.
Buses in south London will be most affected, particularly in Croydon, Thornton Heath, Streatham and Brixton, but services around London will be impacted as people adapt their journeys.
TfL has advised that anyone travelling to Heathrow use the Piccadilly line or TfL Rail services.
