Clapham weather forecast for the week ahead

There is a chill in the air come evening, leaves are browning and with James Bond soon to screen at Clapham Picturehouse, Autumn activities are beckoning.

For those who love living in shorts and flip flops, however, the warm weather expected until the end of the week will help stave off a suited, booted October wardrobe a while longer.

From today (September 22) through to Friday, the weather - while not quite a mini heatwave - is set to be beautiful, with sun expected throughout. While the weekend is meant to be slightly more cloudy, there will still be warmth about.

Here is the forecast for Wednesday September 22 – Sunday September 26, as per the Met Office.

Clapham Forecast: Wednesday (September 22)

If you're working indoors, what are you doing? Grab your laptop and get outside!

Wednesday will be a cracking day of weather, with sun expected throughout save for a small bit of cloud cover around 3-4pm.

Highs of 21 degrees are expected, though there a breeze of up to 15mph at times could make it feel a tad cooler.

Clapham Forecast: Thursday (September 23)

Still a warm day expected, with highs of 21 degrees. However, there will be a fair bit more cloud cover on Thursday.

One positive is that the sun is due to appear at around 5pm for an hour or two, providing a good opportunity to head for a walk, run or picnic on Clapham Common after work.

It will feel a bit gustier with 20mph winds expected at around 1pm.

Clapham Forecast: Friday (September 24)

This should be the day of the week so it's worth making Friday evening plans of the outdoors variety.

It looks to be a day of sunshine with highs of 22 degrees – what a great way to kickstart the weekend.

Sunset will be at 6.55pm and the evening will be a bit cloudier.

Clapham Forecast: Saturday (September 25) – Sunday (September 26)

Frustratingly, the Friday sun doesn't look as if it will hang around all weekend.

Nevertheless, if you had plans to be outside then they're not completely scuppered. In fact, highs of 21 degrees are expected on both Saturday and Sunday, with very little chance of rain.

There should also be a bit of sun appearing in the afternoon on both days.

This forecast information has been taken from the Met Office website and is subject to change.
