A person has been hit by a train between Clapham Junction and London Waterloo.

At 10:47am a spokesperson for National Rail said: "Lines have reopened between Clapham Junction and London Waterloo as the emergency services are now safely clear of the line. Trains may continue to be delayed by 35 minutes or cancelled until 14:30."

A person has been hit by a train between Clapham Junction and London Waterloo, with severe delays to South Western rail expected for three hours.

National Rail announced an incident at 8.14am and warned disruption was expected until at least 12pm today (Thursday, September 16).

While emergency services dealing with the incident all power to the track is switched off in the affected area to allow them access and trains are cancelled or severely delayed as a result.

A spokesperson from South Western Railway said: "We've been advised that emergency services are dealing with an incident between Clapham Junction and London Waterloo.

"Trains may be cancelled, delayed, or revised because of this problem."
