Clapham: Keep Them Green at Venn Street Market

By Isabel Millett 27th Aug 2021

Keep Them Green at Clapham's Venn Street Market

Venn Street was pedestrianised in 2012, one of the best consequences of which was the appearance of Venn Street Market.

Every Saturday small, independent producers take over the cobbles located off Clapham High Street and sell seasonal, homegrown vegetables, sustainably caught fresh fish, incredible pastries and award-winning cheeses – though in truth, that list skims but the surface of foods and goods available to Venn Street Market visitors.

Unsurprisingly, stopping by the market for a browse or bite to eat has become a Saturday fixture for Clapham residents alongside a worthwhile spot for further-flung Londoners to pay a visit.

A local secret is that alongside food, Venn Street Market hosts small, local brands selling carefully made, unique products, though because not all sellers set up stalls every week, visitors to the market won't always know beforehand what these local brands will be.

As pleasant as surprise browsing can be, a little advance planning can prove helpful at every market. This article is for anyone who wants to plan their perusal at tomorrow's market.

Clapham brand Keep Them Green

Setting up shop at Venn Street Market tomorrow is local homewares brand, Keep Them Green.

Using an eco-friendly resin called Jesmonite to create handmade homeware items, every piece Keep Them Green creates is completely unique. The collection includes soap dishes, coasters, plant pots and jewellery boxes, all in kaleidoscopes of colour.

Head over to Venn Street Market anytime between 10am to 3pm for a bite to eat and to browse Keep Them Green's beautiful array of pieces.
