A Clapham Junction decorating and DIY specialist has improved its offering to tradespeople and home improvers by extending opening hours.

Leyland SDM will keep its doors open an hour later at its Clapham Junction store on 129 St. John's Hill, offering customers increased flexibility and allowing them extra time to prepare for tomorrow's jobs.

It means the store – along with Leyland SDM's Hackney and Shoreditch stores - will remain open until 7pm Monday to Friday rather than the current 6pm.

Sandra McNamara, Area Manager at Leyland SDM, said: "We're delighted to be supporting tradespeople and home improvers by extending business hours to 12-and-a-half hours a day in Clapham Junction.

"The move comes in response to feedback from customers, many of whom said an extra hour at the end of the day would help them buy the materials they need for the job at hand.

"Tradespeople, in particular, said it would enable them more time to buy materials for the jobs they have booked in for the following day.

"These are also areas where there is high footfall and tube stations nearby. The extra hour will mean many people can pop in on their way home from work.

"It's an incredibly busy time for home improvements and tradespeople and we're pleased to be able to help in any way we can."
