Police name 20-year-old man stabbed to death in Lambeth
Police have named the young man murdered in Lambeth over the weekend.
Officers were called to reports of a stabbing on Norwood Road shortly before 6pm on Saturday (April 15).
They attended with ambulance colleagues and found a man in the communal area of flats above shops on Norwood Road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have identified the victim as 20-year-old local Filipe Oliveira.
A homicide investigation has been launched and is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn in Specialist Crime.
Cordons at the scene have been lifted and a description of the man police want to trace released to the public.
The man, described as black and of short build, was seen running away from the scene along Christchurch Road. At that time, he was wearing a blue hooded top and a blue Covid mask.
DCI Blackburn said: "Our investigation is making significant progress, but I am continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. I also want to hear from anyone who may have footage that will assist the investigation.
"We are also keen to speak to a man described as black, of short build, who was wearing a blue hooded top and a blue Covid mask. He ran away from the scene along Christchurch Road. I particularly want to hear from anyone who may have seen this man, or who has footage of him. Of course, he may have discarded the mask shortly after the incident."
There have been no arrests at this early stage. Cordons in the area have been lifted.
