The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall Visit Clapham

His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall paid Clapham a visit this morning (May 27 2021) to attend a reception at Adam Byatt's Trinity Restaurant.

Alongside the reception marking the 40th anniversary of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, of which the Prince is Patron, their Royal Highnesses enjoyed meeting independent local business people including local butchers and fishmongers.

Clarence House in live updates here said: "The Prince and Duchess are celebrating our wonderful local high street today in Clapham Old Town".

Led by Jeremy Keates, Manager of This is Clapham Bid, and local Councillor Christopher Wellbelove, their Royal Highnesses began their brief tour of Clapham Old Town at Omnibus Theatre where they met Artistic Director, Marie McCarthy, and the case of forthcoming production An Evening with an Immigrant.

After the Prince pulled a pint at his namesake pub, The Prince of Wales, he and the Duchess of Cornwall continued to Birksen Flowers, Old Town Barbers and Rex and Wolfe pet shop before their final stop at Clapham Fire Station.
