The BabaBoom Kebab Chase is Back on Battersea Rise

Kebab loving runners can once again lace up their trainers in the name of sweating for shish as BabaBoom announces its beloved Kebab Chase will return to Battersea Rise on Sunday 6 June.

What began as an informal "run for kebabs" event to celebrate the launch of BabaBoom's second restaurant soon became the monthly BabaBoom Kebab Chase after the exercise-and-eat-a-kebab combo proved, understandably, insanely successful.

The simple premise – run from the BabaBoom on Battersea Rise to sister branch BabaBoom Islington (or vice versa) and eat your free kebab – may be adapted when Kebab Chase first returns.

"We've been hard at work trying to revive our beloved Kebab Chase in a pandemic-safe, 1-restaurant kinda way," BabaBoom explained when it announced the event's return.

Given Clapham Common is on BabaBoom Battersea's doorstep, it could prove the perfect pandemic-approved, localised alternative. With the 7.5 mile distance between BabaBoom Battersea and BabaBoom Islington compared to one loop of Clapham Common being 2.8 miles, serious runners could well scoff at the "chase" half of that Kebab Chase day.

In any case, Nub News is delighted BabaBoom is once again open for in-restaurant dining. Whatever format Kebab Chase takes on Sunday 6 June, every day is better now it can be a Kebab Day.
