What's On in Clapham this weekend

As more and more events are being organised locally Nub News is launching a new weekly round up of what's on in Clapham each weekend.

Every Thursday we will now bring you our top picks of the events in our What's On section for the coming weekend.

And don't forget, if your business or organisation is running an event, you can advertise it for free with Clapham Nub News.

Simply follow this link to our What's On section and click the black 'Nub It' button to get started.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Colloquium

Now in its third week the Clapham Fringe performing arts festival continues to stage pieces written, directed and acted by London's emerging creatives.

Colloquium, set in a British University, follows the Alan Bennett school of thought, balancing the conflicting hopes of education: to teach for the exam, to teach for success, or to teach for life.

Written by Katherine Stockton, winner of the 2020 Snoo Wilson Prize for Scriptwriting, and directed by Charles Douglas, the play investigates the role that our most ancient universities have to play in that balance.

Anita Luna The Diva

If you're planning to approach the Clapham Fringe in the same way you would the Edinburgh, you won't stop with tickets to just one show.

Follow up theatre with Anita Luna the Diva. A unique mix of theatre, clown, dance, singing, tragicomedy, you can catch the show on both Saturday and Sunday and see for yourself why its reviews have been unanimously glowing (see below).

"This show is a true wildcard. Besides the performance being hilarious in it's wrappings of excellently timed wit, Luna is a talented singer and performer who brings mirth and glamour to the role." - Bingefringe

Bongo's Bingo

If you've been to Bongo's Bingo at The Clapham Grand you will already know what a truly unique experience it is. If you haven't then you have quite the surprise in store - think being showered with Coco Pops whilst hugging your friends, swaying as you sing Westlife at the top of your voices – all whilst playing (and perhaps winning)...bingo!
