Pop up vaccination centre on Windmill Drive
The Lambeth Health and Wellbeing bus parked up on Windmill Drive at 10.00am this morning (Thursday September 9) to administer first and second dose vaccinations to anyone aged 16 or over in Clapham.
Both AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines are available, with jabs at the pop-up clinic available until 4.00pm. After today, the bus relocates to Stockwell on Friday, followed by Waterloo on Saturday, then Norwood High Street on Sunday.
No appointment is needed, nor are you required to take proof of address, an NHS number or immigration status.
As we reported last week, the latest figures show Covid-19 cases had dropped across Wandsworth and Lambeth. By the end of August, 231,927 people in Wandsworth had received their first vaccination and 207,094 had received their second, while in Lambeth, 215,998 people had received their first dose and 188,929 people had received their second.
This amounts to 51,902 people in the two boroughs who having had one jab, await their second, but with fewer venues than at the height of the vaccination rollout, it may not be as convenient.
While a return to Clapham is not currently scheduled in the bus timetable, new dates and locations are regularly added. If you miss out on the opportunity to receive your first or second jab today and would like to see the pop up return to Windmill Drive, email [email protected] with the email subject 'Health and Wellbeing Bus ideas'.
