Lambeth: Teenager charged after loaded firearm found during stop and search

A teenager has been charged after a stop and search by patrolling officers on Lambeth's Coldharbour Lane last week uncovered a loaded firearm.

Two dogs rushed to vet for ingesting discarded drugs and three days of noise heard in homes on Balham Hill: The aftermath of Lambeth's Clapham Common festivals on local residents

Lambeth Council and Festival Republic went ahead with the three illegal festivals planned for the Bank Holiday weekend on Clapham Common, and it was far worse than anyone had anticipated, say local residents.

Between Friday evening and Monday night, local charity the Friends of Clapham Common was flooded with hundreds of complaints sent to Lambeth Council from local residents and businesses.

Wandsworth councillors strongly condemn Lambeth Council for its 'relentless commercial exploitation' of Clapham Common

Wandsworth councillors representing wards bordering Clapham Common have written a damning letter condemning Lambeth Council's "relentless commercial exploitation" of the Common to the detriment of both its biodiversity and the local community.

Winterville on Clapham Common cancelled

Clapham Common's Winterville festival has been cancelled for the third year in a row as organisers withdrew their application – but the reason why remains a mystery.

The Yard in Clapham won't be re-opening

The Yard is the latest of Clapham's venues to close its doors for good. Look out for the latest branch of burger chain MEATliquor due to open in its place this September subject to unforeseen hiccups - or in MEATliquor's own words, "As long as we don't get let down by supply chain, deliveries, Covid, manufacturing, plague of locusts."
